Learning Resource Centre

The St David’s LRC is a bright, airy environment that is highly conductive to supporting independent learning. There are 40 computers and different types of work space to facilitate group work through to silent study. Plasma screens and innovative work stations also contribute to the modern and spacious design.

Our Virtual Learning Environment

All students have access to Moodle (a virtual learning environment) which allows learners and staff to access course content and submit coursework from anywhere with internet access, including at home.

Students have their own electronic individual learning plan (eILP). This online system provides them with relevant personal information such as their timetable, homework, grades, attendance records, exam timetable, and results. Parents have access to their own version of the eILP to help monitor and support progress at home.

Food and Drink

Students can relax between lessons in either the College canteen, or purpose built coffee shop. Breakfast and freshly prepared main meals are available each day. There are also several good cafés and sandwich bars within easy walking distance of the College on Wellfield and Albany Road.

The café in the main hall area is part of the College’s common room. During free lessons students relax with friends and listen to music. The College grounds are popular for socialising in the summer months.
