BTEC Introductory Diploma Qualification Level 1

The new BTEC Introductory Diploma in Vocational Studies allows learners to focus on skills and demonstrate their understanding through a range of different units. The qualification enables learners to gain cross-sector employability skills such as effective communication, time management and team work.

Units covered:

The Diploma concentrates on four mandatory units and a collection of six different optional sector units. Learners will have the opportunity to undertake units from sector areas such as:

Information Technology
Hospitality & Tourism
Health & Social Care

This will benefit learners by providing a broader overview before making decisions on a particular vocational pathway.

All units will be assessed through coursework and graded Pass, Merit and Distinction. Through vocational contexts, this will provide good foundation opportunities for progression on to higher levels and ultimately to sustainable employment.

This course is not available to apply for online. To apply please complete the online process by applying for any alternative courses you may be interested in, or alternatively by paper application form. The vocational studies course can then be discussed as an option during interview.
