St David's Rugby Academy being guided by Daniel Fish.

St David’s Rugby Academy welcomed former Cardiff Blues player Daniel Fish to lead a dynamic training session at Llanrumney Fields on Monday, February 10th. This session challenged and developed the skills of the upper and lower-sixth learners, offering valuable insights and expert guidance on the tactical side of rugby.

Tough Training:

Daniel brought his extensive experience in professional rugby to the pitch. He focused on key areas such as passing, tackling technique, and teamwork. His approach remained intensive and constructive, and the learners participated in numerous drills to hone these essential skills. Under his guidance, they pushed themselves to step out of their comfort zones and improve their performance.

Mr. Todd noted, “The boys trained hard. They needed to be clear when calling to pass, or Dan would have them doing press-ups. It was fantastic to see the team under Dan’s guidance.”

The training session was a great opportunity for skill development and showcased the exciting future for the Academy. With continued dedication and support, the academy will grow and build on its foundations, and we look forward to seeing these learners progress throughout the academic year.
