St David’s Catholic College has announced the launch of a consultation on its new Strategic Plan for 2025–2029, titled “Spirit and Truth. ” This plan outlines the College’s vision, mission, and priorities for the next five years. This draft plan sets a course for the college’s future development and is now open to feedback from the wider community as part of an inclusive consultation process.

Key Priorities for 2025–2029

The Spirit and Truth strategic plan highlights four key priorities that will guide St David’s Catholic College over the coming five years:

  • Reinforcing Catholic Identity: Strengthening the College’s Catholic identity as the foundation of all its activities and culture.
  • Maximising Potential: Enabling every learner and staff member to reach their full potential.
  • Promoting Belonging and Wellbeing: Fostering a strong sense of belonging, wellbeing, safety, and solidarity within the college community so that all feel valued and supported.
  • Ensuring Sustainability: Securing the College’s long-term financial stability and exercising environmental stewardship to ensure sustainable operations for future generations.

Rooted in Catholic Values and Community Collaboration

College leaders emphasise that Spirit and Truth is firmly rooted in Catholic values and the ethos of the institution. The plan reaffirms St David’s identity as a faith-inspired community where every individual is encouraged to grow in faith, wisdom, and integrity. Core values such as inclusivity, service, and compassion are at the heart of the strategy, reflecting the College’s mission to nurture both educational and spiritual growth in its students.

The development of the Spirit and Truth plan has been a collaborative effort. The draft was shaped with extensive input from college staff and students, as well as meaningful engagement with trade union representatives. This inclusive approach, grounded in social partnership principles, ensures that the strategic plan reflects a collective vision for St David’s future.

Consultation Open to the Wider Community

With the draft plan now published, St David’s Catholic College is inviting further feedback from the wider community as the next step in finalising the strategy. The consultation officially opened this week, and the College welcomes input from parents, alumni, partner institutions, local community members, and other stakeholders. College leaders stress that every voice matters in this process, encouraging everyone to review the Spirit and Truth plan and contribute their thoughts.
