St David's Rugby Academy, Cardiff.
Building on over thirty years of rugby heritage at the college, the St David’s rugby programme offers students the opportunity to play rugby whilst focusing on the completion of their A-level qualifications.
Students will have their timetables changed to accommodate rugby training and matches, ensuring that any disruption to their studies is minimised. The team trains at Cardiff Metropolitan University in Cyncoed and play their home games in the heart of Roath, just a two minute walk from the college campus at Roath Recreation Ground.
Squad members will benefit from weekly strength and conditioning sessions and free access to the college gym. All members of the squad will receive a free training kit package. This follows the College’s Catholic mission of ensuring that opportunities are afforded to everyone, regardless of background.
The programme now boasts a close partnership with Cardiff University and the Irish Rugby Football Union, giving players the opportunity to pursue rugby at a higher level. For the 26/27 season the team will play in WRU and RFU competitions
