Every Welsh-speaking student has the option of studying the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales through the medium of Welsh.

Learning Welsh
Young people aged 16-24 can learn Welsh free of charge on courses by the National Centre for Learning Welsh.
Join a virtual class once or twice a week at the right level for you and add Welsh Language skills to your skillset.

Submitting work in Welsh
You are welcome to submit your work in other subjects in Welsh if you wish.
If your subject teacher is not a Welsh speaker, your work will be translated so that they can read and mark it.

If the examination board offers your exam in Welsh, you have the right to receive the exam paper in Welsh as you sit the exam.
You may find this particularly helpful if you have previously studied the subject in Welsh.

Pastoral Studies in Welsh
Welsh speaking students are offered the opportunity to be in a Pastoral group with a Welsh speaking teacher. Usually there is one Welsh-medium Pastoral class in each year.
