Learners gathered for The Flame 2025, sparking young people in England and Wales to converse, share their passion for faith, create memories and be inspired. This annual gathering provides space for young people to make new friends and expand upon their knowledge of faith.

Initially attending alone, Georgia embraced the welcoming and uplifting atmosphere.The event inspires people to grow in confidence in their faith while creating amazing memories with others,Georgia shared.I usually worship in a more personal and private way”, but found herself enjoying group worship in a way she hadn’t before.

Mariah echoed similar thoughts, describing the event asan excellent opportunity for spiritual renewal, empowering the Catholic faith with modern elements.These modern elements featured a unique blend of personal reflection and communal worship, including hymns and inspirational talks.

“The Flame sheds light on some struggles that young people may experience, creating a great sense of empathy. But this inspired hope and encouragement with the audience,Mariah, explained. This motivated young people to understand and inspire hope for those struggling within their communities.

Father Benny, attending for the second time, praised the remarkable energy and enthusiasm he witnessed from younger generations. Marvelling at their commitment to faith, stating:They are not just the future of the Church; they are the Church, here and now.

The Flame 2025 reflected the inspiring faith of young believers, a reminder that the Church is alive and thriving in the hearts of its youth. As the journey closed, The Flame sparked a renewal of hope and faith that continues to light the way for future generations within and outside our college community.
