Tuesday featured two exciting career-focused events. At lunchtime, students interested in the creative industries explored different career opportunities for students. They also learned how to break into the industry. Meanwhile, L6 Health and Social Care students attended a Healthcare Insight event. They gained valuable knowledge about career development for students in healthcare. The session covered skills required for success in this rewarding field.
The main hall buzzed with activity on Wednesday. The Careers Fair 2025 took place from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. Students engaged in hands-on activities and gained real-world insights. Various career fields were represented. With professionals from STEM, Business, Public Services, and the Creative Industries, the Careers Fair 2025 was a fantastic opportunity. Students explored potential career paths and interacted with industry experts.
Thursday was about preparing students for the job market. Drop-in CV workshops were held during lessons 1, 3, and 5. Students received guidance on crafting strong resumes. They also got feedback on their existing CVs. Over lunch, the college’s HR department ran an interview skills workshop. Experts provided advice on how to impress employers. Career development for students was a key focus. Students left with practical skills to help them succeed.
