We are thrilled to share that one of our talented learners has been shortlisted for the national Moving Image Awards. These awards celebrate the very best Film and Media productions by UK students aged 14–19.

Sam Frowen has been nominated for Best Film or TV Extract for their powerful and imaginative entry, Schrödinger. This marks the third time in recent years that one of our students has been recognised at these prestigious awards. It further strengthens our growing reputation for excellence in creative media.

Adding to this fantastic achievement, two further students received Highly Commended recognition for their work. This is an impressive result. It highlights the exceptional depth of talent flourishing in our classrooms.

The Moving Image Awards celebrate creativity, technical skill, and strong storytelling. Shortlisted learners are placed among the most exciting young filmmakers in the country. Sam’s nomination reflects both their dedication and originality. It also showcases the strength of our Media Studies department.

A Celebration at the British Film Institute

Shortlisted students have been invited to attend the official awards ceremony on Friday 13th February 2026. The event will take place at the iconic British Film Institute (BFI) on London’s Southbank.

The ceremony will showcase all nominated films on the big screen. It will also welcome special guests from across the film and media industries. This makes the event a standout moment in the UK student film awards calendar.

For Sam, this is an incredible opportunity. They will see their work screened in a professional cinema setting. It is also a chance to be recognised on a national stage.
