What differentiates British schools and colleges from others globally?’’ is a question I have asked myself since I first took the role of the International Students Manager in St David’s College. I soon came to realise that we should recognise, celebrate, and focus on what we, as educational institutions, have in common, rather than concentrate on our differences. Every day, here at St David’s, I meet with enthusiastic, passionate, keen, and inquisitive young people and I can see and feel the similarities between each and every unique individual: the hopes and aspirations of good education, a successful career and a brighter future. Whatever your chosen area of interest, we at St David’s Sixth Form College will provide you with a personalised programme of study that meets your learning needs and career aspirations. We strive to educate the whole person and make you independent learner, assisting you in the transition from school to university.

My name is Edita Agha and I am here to welcome you, guide you, look after you, and make you feel home.

My educational journey has been a continuous pursuit of knowledge and growth, leading me from History teacher to Deputy Head teacher. At St. David’s College, I teach on the Honours Programme and serve as a pastoral tutor, supporting my students’ holistic development. My diverse academic background provides a strong foundation for my teaching and leadership roles.

Immersed in international education, I have collaborated with students and colleagues worldwide, enriching my understanding of diverse cultures and strengthening my teaching and leadership skills.

As part of the International Team, I am committed to creating engaging learning experiences that nurture each student’s potential. My ability to communicate clearly, foster critical thinking, and cultivate a collaborative learning environment is central to my character. I believe education unlocks individual potential and shapes a brighter future. I am dedicated to empowering my students and collaborating with colleagues to create a supportive learning environment that fosters personal growth and academic excellence.

My name is Paul Thomas and I am here to support you, guide you, look after you, and unlock your potential.

As a personal assistant to the Associate Principal overseeing International Students, I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to be part of this team and assist students on their academic journey. As a previous attendee of St David’s, I have first-hand experience of the institution’s supportive and nurturing atmosphere.

Through its dedication to fostering academic excellence, encouraging independent learning, and promoting personal growth, St David’s equips students to excel in higher education and beyond amidst today’s dynamic and demanding landscape.

My name is Isabel Buckley, and I am thrilled to be a part of the dedicated team here at St David’s Sixth Form College, where we warmly welcome students from around the globe.

I have been a member of staff at St David’s since 2005 and am a Chartered Certified Accountant, in my spare time a school governor and a charity trustee. I enjoy welcoming our international students and learning about the culture and approaches to education in their home countries.

I understand that International Students and their families make a major commitment when a decision is made to study abroad. We are passionate that as well as receiving an excellent academic education at St David’s they experience a welcoming environment, with a pastoral programme that aids their social and emotional development. This experience will develop their skills but also prepare them for life.

My name is Lynne and I am the Associate Principal, part of the Senior Leadership Team at St David’s and am responsible for the International Team.
