Staff, students, and parents celebrated together this morning as results were released and realisations of what comes next came into focus.
The build-up to results day is always an anxious one – but nerves quickly lifted as news came through that St David’s College grades surpassed national averages in every area.

Students in the Honours Programme, designed for more able and talented learners, achieved outstanding results, with 55% of grades at A* or A, and 93% at A*-C. AS Level Honours students excelled in particular, with 74% of grades at A and 100% at A-C.
While today is a celebration of grades, it is the grit, determination, and commitment to building brighter futures that truly shine through.
Over 8,736 exams were sat across 34 days – a remarkable undertaking for staff, teachers, and students alike. Today marks the culmination of that hard work, with the success stories now becoming reality.

Min Hoang celebrated her results with Physics teacher Mr Miller, who described her as “the hardest-working and most dedicated student – she completed every past paper multiple times, and never missed a chance to learn. Every student could be more Min!”
Principal Geraint Williams reflected on this morning’s results, saying”
“At St David’s, our mission has always been about more than grades – it’s about helping each student discover their potential, grow in confidence, and step into the future with purpose. These results are a testament not only to our students’ hard work but also to the culture of care, encouragement, and high expectations we share as a community.
I couldn’t be prouder of the young people who have embraced every challenge, and the dedicated staff who have been alongside them every step of the way.”
As more success stories emerge, one thing is clear – the success of St David’s students is a testament to their talent, perseverance, and passion for learning. We now look ahead to the next academic year, as we continue our mission of guiding learners in spirit and in truth.
