St David's Students Celebrating Diversity of Mount Stuart Primary School

St David’s College students brought excitement and inspiration to Mount Stuart Primary School‘s Culture Day, in a vibrant celebration of diversity and unity.

On Friday (21st March), St David’s students treated Year 5 and 6 pupils to a memorable experience of performances, cultural showcases, and meaningful conversations. The event created an atmosphere of joy, learning, and connection.

When young people visit primary school pupils, the impact goes far beyond a single event—it sparks inspiration, confidence, and a sense of possibility in younger minds. Seeing older students share their stories, talents, and experiences helps primary pupils envision their potential and future paths.

These interactions foster connections, making younger students feel seen, heard, and valued. The presence of relatable, enthusiastic young mentors can leave a lasting impression, reinforcing the idea that kindness, creativity, and leadership can create real change in their communities.

Each St David’s student shared their journey, reflecting various backgrounds, talents, and identities. More than just a series of performances, this was an opportunity to promote cultural awareness and encourage young pupils to embrace who they are while appreciating the uniqueness of others.

The whole-school assembly fostered a strong sense of inclusive education, with both pupils and staff deeply moved by the confidence and creativity on display. St. David’s students were outstanding role models, demonstrating how student leadership can make a meaningful impact in building a more inclusive and understanding community.

Mr Hazel, who coordinated the visit, expressed his pride in the students:

“Our students were incredible today. Not only did they perform brilliantly, but they also made genuine connections with the pupils at Mount Stuart. Moments like these highlight the power of young people coming together to inspire and uplift others.”

This event is one of the many ways St David’s College nurtures student leadership, creativity, and inclusion. By championing cultural awareness and diversity, our students are making a real difference—both in their own lives and in the lives of others.
