
St David’s Catholic College proudly announces the appointment of Katie Cummins as the new Leader of Dignity and Inclusion. With over 20 years of experience in Catholic education and a strong academic background, Katie is dedicated to fostering a culture of equity, belonging, and respect.
Previously, Katie led the Sanctuary Project, where she developed inclusive practices rooted in Catholic Social Teaching. Her efforts earned the college the prestigious College of Sanctuary Award. Passionate about social justice, she has played a key role in initiatives such as the Reaching Out Project and establishing a college food bank. These efforts highlight her deep commitment to the Preferential Option for the Poor.
As Leader of Dignity and Inclusion, Katie will collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to create strategies that honor every individual’s intrinsic value. She will oversee the college’s Strategic Equality Plan and Anti-Racism Action Plan while ensuring alignment with Gospel values. She will also support students and staff, ensuring compliance with equality legislation and fostering an inclusive environment.
Katie’s expertise will help integrate dignity, solidarity, and inclusion into teaching and learning. By championing these principles, she aims to build a more welcoming and respectful atmosphere at the college.
