Learners will develop the fundamental research skills which underlie all creative digital media production, to gain a basic understanding of employment opportunities, job requirements, and working practices in the media sector, and to develop an understanding of how media products are constructed for specific audiences or markets. The optional units enable learners to build the technical skills and knowledge relevant to the media sector.

The course comprises mandatory and optional units. The optional units are to be confirmed.

  • develop the fundamental research skills which underlie all media production;
  • gain a basic understanding of employment opportunities, job requirements, and working practices in the media sector;
  • develop an understanding of how media products are constructed for specific audiences or markets;
