Trampoline Gold for Upper Sixth Student

Congratulations to upper sixth student, Lance Stephens, who came first in the NDP Performance Level trampoline competition for British Gymnastics this weekend. Lance was representing Cardiff Met Academy as the only Welsh competitor out of 12 who qualified for the 17-18 age group in the UK-wide competition.

The competition consisted of three routines, performed over the course of one day at the Telford International Centre, Birmingham on April 28th.

This is following his 3rd place success at the British Trampoline and DMT League on April 21st.

An exceptional routine from Lance Stephens saw him finishing in 3rd place after his first bounce. He performed well throughout the competition and finished in an outstanding 1st place overall.

Lance is now qualified for the British Championships in September and we wish him all the best.

I’ve been competing in Trampolining since I was seven but this was a new competition to me, so I'm glad I did well.
