This course is aimed at improving the skills of reading, writing and oracy in English. You will work closely with your teacher to improve technical accuracy in your written work and to develop a better understanding of purpose and audience. You will also improve your proof-reading and editing skills.

You will complete two internally marked oracy assessments before December (Unit 1 worth 20%) and two external exams in June (Unit 2 worth 40% and Unit 3 worth 40%)

GCSE English is a requirement for entry onto A Level or Vocational courses. It provides crucial skills for future employment and is vital for university entry and many professional careers.
