Level 2: Skills for Further Study

The Skills for Further Study level 2 qualifications are for learners wishing to acquire knowledge and skills preparing them to progress to study at higher levels.

The aims of the qualifications are to:

• develop skills to study at level 3
• develop an awareness of progression opportunities to careers or further study.

It is the equivalent of three GCSEs and includes a range of modules that allow learners to pick up skills, and get a taste of courses they may wish to study at Level 3. The course contains key modules of study skills, numeracy, literacy and digital literacy, and then modules across various subjects like business, law, sociology, media and health and social care.
