2018 Sutton Trust Summer Schools for Year 12 students

Applications are now open for the 2018 Sutton Trust Summer Schools for Year 12 students, which offer free summer placements at a variety of universities, including Cambridge.

Some universities offer GUARANTEED CONDITIONAL OFFERS when you apply through UCAS upon successful completion of the programme.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Year 12 students only
  • Attend, and have always attended, a state-funded school or College (non-fee paying) in the UK 
  • More info here

If you meet one of the following criteria, you are more likely to secure a place

  • First generation of your family to attend university (i.e. your parents did not study at Higher Education level)
  • Have been eligible for free school meals
  • Live in a neighbourhood with a low rate of progression to Higher Education and/or a high level of socio-economic deprivation
  • Have achieved at least 5 A grades at GCSE level (relevant to the course you will be applying for)
  • Have been or are within the care system
